Muscle Building Diet Plan
Many years ago one of the greatest bodybuilders Vince Gironda had said “bodybuilding is 80% diet”. This statement I believe is very accurate. If you don’t have a muscle building diet plan to complement your workouts it will be very difficult to build muscle.

Vince Gironda was famous for helping Arnold Scwartzegger to become one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. His acolytes list reads like a whos who in bodybuilding of the 1950s to 1997.
Vince was convinced that a muscle building diet plan was essential to muscle building success. His aim was to try and convince everyone of this fundamental truth when it came to bodybuilding.
A good muscle building diet plan includes the best useable sources of protein and natural carbohydrates which includes fruits and vegetables fats and finally nuts. Supplements can help lower subcutaneous fat on body and also help grow muscles. However it is not necessary.
The biologist Bernard Beverly says that human tissue is 100% biological. This means that bodybuilders must consume foods that have biological content in order develop the tissue. Some bodybuilders may think biological content food is the same as protein food. This is not the case since all proteins are not the same. Biological content food is those food that have the same protein structure as human tissue.

Well you may be asking which is the food with the highest biological content, believe it or not it is the egg. Other foods that have a high biological content is raw milk, organ meats, steak, lamb, poultry and fish. Remember Beans, legumes and other vegetables are an excellent source of protein so be sure to add them into your muscle building diet plan.
You may want to include soy beans in your diet because of the high protein. However soy beans is only 22% biological which means that you would have to consume a large amount of soy beans to equal the amino acids mentioned in the previous paragraph. Its better to consume natural wholesome foods, even Vince Gironda recommended avoiding anabolic steroids to eating 3 dozen eggs a day!
This consumption of biological protein will give your muscles a huge amount new found strength as well as quickly repair broken down muscle. After about 6-8 weeks drop your consumption of eggs to about 1-2 dozen per a day since you would have achieved your goal.
Most bodybuilding diets focus on red meat and fresh vegetables , or a diet that is high in dairy products and fish. Whatever muscle building diet plan is used the goal is the same and that is to flood the body with enough protein to rebuild muscle that has been torn down by heavy workouts. The problem with these diets is that they are not long term since they are not balanced. These are some of the supplements that Vince recommends which include Kelp tablets, dessicated liver, liptropic amino acids and wheat germ oil. Vince also had another diet method that put the student through special bodybuilding diet cycle just before contests in order to get rid of the last of the subcutaneous fat.
This diet was composed of zero carbs for four day and on the fifth day they would eat normally. This would carry on for another 4 days and the tenth day the students would eat normally. This would carry on for another 3-8 weeks until the student was totally ripped!
A great muscle building diet plan consists of protein, fats, natural carbohydrates and fibre. If you break it down it should be 24% protein, 40% natural carbs and the balance fats and fibre.
If you decide to follow Vinces diet before a contest then you should eat carbs for four days and the fifth day eat normally for not more than 8 weeks. You could take supplements if you need to although not necessary.
